Riva Kitchen & Events (formerly North Shore Harbour Cafe) was the venue for Chantelle & Dane in March 2020.
They enjoyed perfect ceremony weather (overcast) and then just as we started couples and bridal party portraits around the beach, the sun decided to bless us in abundance!
This venue has always been popular for wedding and events, it has on the one of closest things Brisbane can offer in terms of a beach feel together with an intimate and highly functional event space.
No doubt this venue will host many future weddings, and what I like about it in particular is that there is just enough interesting and diverse backgrounds to shoot couples portraits close to sunset. Sure it doesn’t have the variation somewhere like Roma Street Parklands has of course, but it does work well for capturing photos as the sun sets across the river.
The beach is actually quite long and deep so it’s no problem at all to get the whole bridal party walking along the beach together, or utilise the parks and walkways around Riva Kitchen.
