Commercial Interiors & Exteriors USING NATURAL AMBIENT LIGHT
My method for commercial interior photography is to use the existing ambient light within all scenes hand-held.
This means I get many more shots than conventional architectural photographers who might lug around a tripod or capture in HDR (requiring both a tripod and multiple shots).
There is no waiting to level the tripod on each shot, and it’s much easier to find the best angle and composition.
This also makes editing quicker and less time consuming and the time required on-site significantly less (much less disruption for the clients).
Spaces are presented with their existing artificial light included (whereas HDR will tend to mute any internal lighting).
On average a one hour shoot yields around 80 photos, and a 90 minute shoot around 120 (depending on how messy the space is, whether it's occupied or empty etc). I rarely shoot for more two hours, because it tends to be overkill (even for larger spaces).
Commercial Interior Shoots Are Fully Inclusive:
Travel within 30 minutes from Tingalpa (additional time is $125 per hour incl. GST on a return basis).
