ROMA ST PARKLANDS SUNSET GLADE 4 MAR 2023

Sunset Glade at Roma Street Parklands lived up to it’s name during Lauren & Mike’s March 2023 wedding.

I was able to take advantage of the sun streaming through the trees leading up to sunset for to create some impactful ceremony photos all in natural light, and thankfully devoid of virtually any dappled light.

Sometimes couples will arrange to get married under a fig or oak tree (like at New Farm park) but this doesn’t really work well in the real world when the sun is shining. There is inevitably too much contrast between light/dark and dappled light.

Choosing a location like Sunset Glade @ Roma Street Parklands solves all these problems though, because the light is filtered between the trees and leaves creating lovely sparkles (bokeh) in the photos when photographed with this intent.

So I was delighted to arrive at the ceremony location and discover the exact spot where Lauren & Mike were to be married was literally picture perfect ;)
