O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards 15 OCT 2022

I have only shot one wedding at this spectacular venue located in the Canungra Valley, a lovely drive just over an hour from Brisbane.

What struck me most upon arrival was just how busy this place was with people enjoying long lunches on the banks of the river on blankets, or on the main deck area. Luckily there was plenty of on-site parking so it was easy to get started.

One thing to bear in mind at this location, the mobil phone coverage isn’t always the best, so plan ahead and download Google Maps data to your phone before heading out.

Tash & Nick got married on the banks of the river, and the weather was just perfect on this mid October day.

The reception followed on-site in a cute little marquee which was excellent for bouncing light from my flash, making the reception shots nice and easy and sharp to capture. I always recommend choosing a wedding venue with white or neutral coloured ceilings, it will make things so much easier for your photographer! (and give you better overall reception photos).

I was just above to leave the reception and had my bags packed when the cigars came out. I obviously wasn’t going to miss this opportunity, so I grabbed by flash and camera and headed out to the lawn to take some groom cigar shots.
