Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens is a magical ‘all-in-one’ venue located in Brookfield where you can get married, take portraits and celebrate all in one location, without every having to squeze into an overpriced and underwhelming limousine, Uber Premium or your Uncle’s Kia Carnival.

It certainly feels like you are in the country as you meander down the narrow public road that leads to Bundaleer Rainforest. It’s located at the end of a short country lane that essentially gets 99% of traffic from Bundaleer Rainforest guests. My point is, the location is extremely secluded and private and just feels special.

They offer the choice of multiple different ceremony locations, but as is the case with many locations there is always a favourite and that of course is the very american sounding ‘Woodland Falls’. This is the wooden platform next to the creek, that is actually a fantastic choice because on a sunny day the light is filtered through the trees with very little spill.

Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens is a venue that is particularly epic near sunset. Having said that, I have found that you need to time this perfectly. Essentially you want the sun to be streaming down the paddocks through the trees for the start of your portraits, and to then make your way to the iconic swing. Stopping to capture a few portraits along the way, ideally you would end up on the road and next to the nearby farms about 20 mins before actual sunset.

What you don’t want to do is find yourself on the road without any light to produce sunkissed portraits. So it’s pretty important that family group photos are planned well, and end of time. Because it’s a real shame at this venue to ‘miss the light’ because there is nowhere else to go and you only have one chance to get it right.
