CHLOE & SHANNON - 4 Hours 15 MINS Coverage

459 Photos

It’s a cliche, but it’s so true - every wedding is unique and Chloe & Shannon was no exception.

They had me capture getting ready, ceremony and portraits at Roma Street Parklands but no coverage of the reception. I can totally understand why they decided to do that.

Actually, the reception stage is in my opinion less likely to generate amazing photos than any of the other stages. That’s because I am using flash, people are eating and are generally seated which makes it harder to capture candid photos.

If you are going to cut any stage from your wedding photography, cut out the reception and keep the photos all using natural light!

It was absolutely the right decision for this couple, as we were able to get over 450 photos over four hours and 15 mins.

Coverage started at getting ready where both brides were located in the same building. This of course made it easy to drop in to both of their getting ready locations without wasting time.

The dress was actually particularly difficult to capture full length, because there was absolutely nowhere to hang it. So I used a technique that involves finding the smallest member of the bridal party, and had her hold the dress up while hiding behind it!

‘The Palm Treet Court; ceremony location at Roma Street Parklands provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony.
