LAURA & STEVE - 1.5 Hour Coverage

180 Photos

Laura & Steve was a classic example of less is more. This couple did not want to spend hours after the ceremony taking portraits, nor did they need or want getting ready coverage, or reception.

That is absolutely fine with me, because I offer coverage from 1 to 10 hours (and anything in between). Not only does this reduce the costs, it means you get more private time with your guests instead of being harangued by a photographer all day!

I absolutely believe the sweet spot for wedding photography coverage is about 6 hours for a large wedding, and 3 hours for a smaller wedding.

This wedding was only 1.5 hours coverage, but it was more than enough to capture guests arrival at ‘The Broadway Chapel’ together with a ceremony, hugs and congrats, family group photos and about 10-15 minutes of portraits outside.

For many couples (especially those getting married for the second time) they are really only interested in getting a few nice portraits, and they don’t need all the fuss of a full day wedding.

By the way, now that High Church in Fortitude Valley has closed, the Broadway Chapel is one of the few inner city chapel venues still operating. It has more character than High Church had anyway, and is easier to park and access from the street.
